The District is seeking applications for the position of Special Projects Coordinator (Housing).
The Special Projects Coordinator (Housing) will be responsible for the development of innovative housing solutions, community housing land use planning, and partnerships with a variety of community stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Economic Development Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining housing, land use, and homelessness data, information, and resources. You will prepare and revise housing and land use plans, strategies and reports, write bylaws, policies, and procedures related to housing and land use planning, and the create resources for housing developers and the public. You will work collaboratively with non-profit organizations and government agencies to implement innovative housing solutions in Fort St. James.
The successful candidate will have at least two years experience in community planning, housing development planning, a related field, or a combination of training and experience preferably in local government. A valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required. Preference will be given to individuals with knowledge of the local demography.
