Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment

District of Fort St. James Municipal Council is considering an amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 738, 2001. The amendment affects Division Two-Definitions and Division Three-Regulations.

The amendment to Division Two-Definitions includes the addition of a definition for Cannabis, Cannabis Production Facility and Cannabis Retail Store.

The amendment to Division Three-Regulations adds a subsections allowing the sale and production of recreational Cannabis in certain zones.

The proposed amending bylaw may be viewed at the District Office, 477 Stuart Drive West, Fort St. James, from September 10 through September 21, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is also available online at (https://bit.ly/2MTQKPo).

A public hearing on the proposed amendment will be held in Council Chambers at the District Office at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 26, 2018. All persons who believe their interest in property will be affected by the proposed amendment will be given an opportunity to be heard at that time.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 34 Bylaw No. 989, 2018 expires September 30th.
