Corey Gingrich is a newly elected member of Council who has lived in Fort St. James for 45 years. During this time Corey has committed his time to groups providing safety and corporate social responsibility at his place of work and the community of Fort St. James. Corey received the Dennis Playfair memorial Award at age 19 for his commitment to the minor hockey association and dedication to good citizenship.

Corey has worked as the Purchaser for Apollo Forest Products for 18 years. This has allowed him to understand the community and those within it in a unique way as his work has connected him with many people and groups. Corey has sat on the Apollo social club, safety committee, and donation committee for several years.

Corey has been heavily involved in several community groups including Fort St. James Minor Hockey, the Fort St. James Ball Association, and Ducks Unlimited Canada. Corey is passionate about youth and their recreation opportunities in the community and has supported these organizations in a variety of positions.

Corey is married to his wife Nadine, they have a young daughter named Leila. Corey and his family have firmly planted their roots in Fort St. James where he was raised. Corey has strong ties to the community and those in it and believes that the people are what makes it unique.

Corey strongly believes that Council can help create lasting achievements in Fort St. James by approaching ideas with an open mind and developing ongoing partnerships.
